Symbols and Watchlists
Symbols are the tickers your selected product/account watches. A watchlist is the group of symbols you choose to monitor through Bismel1 automation.
1. Add symbols intentionally
Add only symbols you understand and want the selected product/account to watch. The symbol list should match your product lane and account mode.
2. Start with fewer symbols
A smaller watchlist is easier to monitor. It helps you understand why symbols are skipped, which orders were submitted, and how positions changed over time.
3. Use valid tickers
Use standard ticker symbols supported by the broker and the product. If a symbol is unsupported or lacks data, the page may show a readiness or availability message.
4. Strategy assignment in Execute
Execute can show per-symbol strategy assignment where available. This lets users choose how each symbol is evaluated at a high level. It does not guarantee a trade or a result.
5. Prime watchlist behavior
Prime uses a product-specific automation workflow. Add symbols you want Prime to watch, then monitor status, Orders, Positions, Activity, and Performance.
6. Symbol status
- Watching: the symbol is listed for evaluation.
- Ready: the symbol setup appears available.
- Skipped: no eligible action was found or a check did not pass.
- Stale data: market data is not current enough.
- Insufficient history: more closed bars are needed.
- Blocked: a product or safety condition stopped action.
7. Review before removing
Before removing a symbol, check whether it has open positions or recent orders. Removing a symbol from the watchlist does not replace broker account monitoring.
