Broker Safety Checklist
Broker safety starts before automation is turned on. Use this checklist to confirm account mode, credentials, symbols, and controls before allowing the app bot to act on your connected account.
1. Confirm paper or live
Paper and live accounts are separate. Paper is for simulated trading. Live is for real broker activity. Always confirm the account mode shown in Bismel1 before changing automation settings.
2. Keep credentials private
Never share broker API keys, secrets, passwords, account numbers, tax IDs, card numbers, or bank login details in support tickets, email, chat, screenshots, or public posts.
3. Use the Account Selector
The Account Selector controls which product/account data you are viewing. Confirm the selected account before reading Positions, Orders, Activity, or Performance.
4. Start small
Use a smaller symbol list first. This makes it easier to monitor what the app is doing, understand skipped symbols, and compare Orders, Positions, and Activity.
5. Review readiness before automation
- Product entitlement is active.
- Broker connection shows ready.
- Correct paper/live account is selected.
- Symbols are added intentionally.
- Buying power and account status look reasonable.
- Orders and Positions are understood before starting.
6. Pause if uncertain
If account data, order status, or activity does not look right, pause automation first. Review the supporting pages before changing settings or reconnecting anything.
7. Safety note
Bismel1 organizes broker-connected workflow, but your broker account and trading risk remain your responsibility. No software can remove market risk.
